This Wednesday, March 14th, we challenge you to Walk Up Not Out. What’s that mean? It means Wednesday, we challenge you to walk up.  Walk up to the kid who sits alone at lunch and invite him to sit with your group. Walk up to the kid who sits alone in the corner, walk up to her and say hi. Walk up to the kid that has troubles or acts out in class and ask how he is doing. Walk up to your teachers and thank them. Walk up to someone who has different views than you and get to know them. You may be surprised what you have in common.

Build on that foundation instead of casting stones. We challenge you to find 14 students and 3 adults to walk up to in honor of those who died in FL. But you can start now, so why wait. By doing this, we mix it up. We encourage kindness, acceptance, and tolerance. We create a campus where all students and adults feel welcome and safe.

So, Wednesday, before and after school, at break, and at lunch show us how you mix it up by Walking up! Spread the word...

ATS offers fun and challenging classes at Sac State for students in 4th-9th grade. It’s easy for students to participate! Any student who takes the ATS Qualifying Exam is automatically eligible to apply for classes. The good news for students and teachers is that this test measures reasoning abilities, so students do not need to study in advance. ATS offers courses for any score level; some classes are open to all!  Testing at Herbert Green will be on January 29th from 2:30-3:30 in the library. There is a $15 fee to take the test. Please fill out and return the attached or sign up forms are available in the HG office.
